Terms and Conditions of Stay

[Application of These Terms and Conditions]

Article 1

  1. All accommodation agreements and related contracts entered into by the Hotel shall be governed by these Terms and Conditions. Any matters not provided for herein shall be governed by applicable laws and regulations or generally accepted practices.
  2. Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the Hotel may accept special arrangements to the extent that they do not conflict with the purpose of these Terms and Conditions, applicable laws and regulations, or generally accepted practices.

[Application for an Accommodation Contract]

Article 2

  1. Any person wishing to apply for accommodation at the Hotel shall provide the following information to the Hotel:
    • Full name, address, age, telephone number, gender, occupation, and date of stay
    • For foreign guests: nationality, passport number, previous place of stay, and next destination
    • Date of departure, number of guests, departure time, and age categories of guests sharing the same room (adult, child, infant)
    • Any other information deemed necessary by the Hotel
  2. If a guest requests to extend their stay beyond the date specified in Item 1 above during their stay, the Hotel shall treat such request as a new application for an accommodation contract made at the time of the request.
  3. The Hotel does not accept accommodation for guests under 18 years of age (including high school students) traveling without a parent or guardian unless prior consent is provided by a parent or guardian. A written consent form from a parent or guardian is required for all guests.
    Elementary and junior high school students may stay if accompanied by a responsible adult (other than a family member) and a parental consent form has been submitted.

[Conclusion of the Accommodation Contract, etc.]

Article 3

  1. The accommodation contract shall be deemed to have been concluded when the Hotel accepts the application referred to in the preceding Article. However, this shall not apply if the Hotel proves that it did not accept such application.
  2. When an accommodation contract has been concluded pursuant to the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the Hotel may request payment of a deposit within a specified period, up to an amount equivalent to the accommodation charges for the entire stay.
  3. The deposit referred to in the preceding paragraph shall be applied toward the cancellation fee specified in Article 6, if applicable, and any remaining balance shall be refunded.

[Refusal to Accept Accommodation]

Article 4

The Hotel may refuse to enter into an accommodation contract in the following cases:

  1. When there are no available guest rooms due to full occupancy.
  2. When the application for accommodation does not comply with these Terms and Conditions.
  3. When the Hotel considers that the person seeking accommodation may engage in acts that violate laws and regulations, public order, or morals in connection with their stay.
  4. When the Hotel considers that the person seeking accommodation falls under any of the following categories:
    1. An Organized Crime Group as defined in Article 2, Item 2 of the Act on Prevention of Unjust Acts by Organized Crime Group Members (Act No. 77 of 1991) (hereinafter referred to as an "Organized Crime Group"), an Organized Crime Group Member as defined in Article 2, Item 6 of the same Act (hereinafter referred to as an "Organized Crime Group Member"), an associate member of an Organized Crime Group, a person associated with an Organized Crime Group, or any other antisocial force.
    2. A corporation or other organization whose business activities are controlled by an Organized Crime Group or an Organized Crime Group Member.
    3. A corporation whose officers include an Organized Crime Group Member.
  5. When the person seeking accommodation is clearly recognized as suffering from a contagious disease.
  6. When the person seeking accommodation makes violent demands against the Hotel or its employees, requests an unreasonable burden beyond a reasonable scope, or is recognized as having engaged in similar conduct in the past.
  7. When accommodation cannot be provided due to natural disasters, facility failures, or other unavoidable reasons.
  8. When the Hotel determines that the person may engage in conduct that causes inconvenience to other guests.

[Cancellation of the Accommodation Contract]

Article 5

  1. Guests may cancel the accommodation contract by notifying the Hotel.
  2. If a guest cancels all or part of the accommodation contract for reasons attributable to the guest, the Hotel shall charge a cancellation fee as set forth below. However, in the case of group guests (defined as 10 or more guests), this shall not apply to cancellations affecting up to 10% of the number of guests included in the reservation as of 10 days prior to the accommodation date (or, if the Hotel accepted the reservation after that date, as of the date the reservation was accepted). Any fraction shall be rounded up.

    (1) Individual Guests

    1. Cancellation 2 days prior to the accommodation date: 30% of the accommodation charges
    2. Cancellation 1 day prior to the accommodation date: 50% of the accommodation charges
    3. Cancellation on the accommodation date or failure to arrive without notice: 100% of the accommodation charges

    (2) Group Guests (10 or more guests)

    1. Cancellation 1 month prior to the accommodation date or failure to arrive without notice: 100% of the accommodation charges
  3. If a guest has not arrived by midnight on the accommodation date (or two hours after the specified arrival time if an arrival time has been provided in advance), the Hotel may consider the reservation cancelled.
  4. If a reservation is considered cancelled pursuant to the preceding paragraph, but the guest proves that their failure to arrive without notice was due to reasons beyond their control, such as the non-arrival or delay of public transportation including trains or aircraft, the cancellation fee specified in Paragraph 1 shall not be charged.

[The Hotel's Right to Cancel the Accommodation Contract]

Article 6

  1. The Hotel may cancel the accommodation contract in the following cases:
    • When the Hotel considers that the guest may engage in, or has engaged in, conduct that violates laws and regulations, public order, or morals in connection with their stay.
    • When the Hotel considers that the guest falls under any of the following categories:
      1. An Organized Crime Group, a member of an Organized Crime Group, an associate member of an Organized Crime Group, a person associated with an Organized Crime Group, or any other antisocial force.
      2. A corporation or other organization whose business activities are controlled by an Organized Crime Group or a member of an Organized Crime Group.
      3. A corporation whose officers include a member of an Organized Crime Group.
    • When a guest engages in conduct that causes significant inconvenience to other guests.
    • When a guest is clearly recognized as suffering from a contagious disease.
    • When the guest makes violent demands in relation to their stay, requests a burden beyond a reasonable scope, or is recognized as having engaged in similar conduct in the past.
    • When the Hotel is unable to provide accommodation due to force majeure, such as natural disasters.
    • When payment of the deposit specified in Article 3, Paragraph 2 has been requested but has not been made by the due date.
    • When a guest fails to comply with the prohibited matters set forth in the House Rules established by the Hotel.
  2. When the Hotel cancels the accommodation contract pursuant to the preceding paragraph, the Hotel shall not charge the guest for accommodation services or other charges for services that have not yet been provided.

[Registration of Guests]

Article 7

  1. Guests shall register the following information at the Hotel's front desk on the day of arrival:
    • Name, address, age, telephone number, gender, and occupation
    • For foreign guests: nationality, passport number, previous place of stay, and next destination
    • Date of departure, number of guests, departure time, and age categories of guests sharing the same room (adult, child, infant)
    • Any other information deemed necessary by the Hotel

[Guest Room Usage Hours]

Article 8

  1. Guests may use the Hotel's guest rooms from 3:00 PM to 10:00 AM the following morning. However, in the case of consecutive stays, guests may use the rooms throughout the day except on the day of arrival and the day of departure.
  2. If a guest's luggage or personal belongings are left behind on the Hotel premises or in a guest room after check-out, the Hotel shall take measures it deems appropriate in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. If the owner of such luggage or personal belongings can be clearly identified, the Hotel may, at its discretion, contact the owner and request instructions; however, the Hotel shall not be obligated to do so.
  3. If, after check-out, a guest is found to be using areas of the Hotel other than guest rooms, such as the front desk area, for an extended period equivalent to a stay, the Hotel may charge an appropriate fee.

[Payment of Accommodation Charges]

Article 9

  1. Payment of accommodation charges shall be made at the Hotel's front desk by cash, credit card, or coupon voucher upon the guest's arrival or when requested by the Hotel.
  2. Even if a guest chooses not to stay after the Hotel has provided the guest room and made it available for use, the guest shall still be required to pay the accommodation charges.

[Compliance with the Rules of Use]

Article 10

Guests shall comply with the Rules of Use established by the Hotel.

[The Hotel's Liability]

Article 11

  1. The Hotel's liability in connection with accommodation shall commence at the earlier of the time when the guest completes registration at the Hotel's front desk or enters the guest room, and shall end when the guest checks out upon departure.
  2. The Hotel shall not be liable for any accidents or damages arising from a guest's failure to comply with the Rules of Use established by the Hotel.
  3. If the Hotel is unable to provide a guest room due to reasons attributable to the Hotel, the Hotel shall, except when it is difficult to do so due to natural disasters or other circumstances beyond the Hotel's control, arrange alternative accommodation for the guest under conditions as similar as possible to those originally provided.

[Parking Liability]

Article 12

  1. The Hotel shall not be liable for any accidents, theft, or incidents that occur in the parking lot.
  2. Use of the parking lot is limited to the guest's accommodation period.
  3. Guests are required to contact the Hotel in advance before using the parking lot.

[Guest Liability]

Article 13

  1. If the Hotel suffers damage due to a guest's intentional or negligent acts, the guest shall compensate the Hotel for such damage.
  2. Guests shall be responsible for managing their own luggage and personal belongings when leaving them in the lobby or other common areas. The Hotel shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or other harm to such luggage or personal belongings.

[Handling of Items Deposited at the Front Desk]

Article 14

  1. If any loss, damage, or other harm occurs to items deposited by a guest at the front desk while in the Hotel's custody, the Hotel shall compensate the guest for such damage, except in cases of force majeure as described in the following paragraph.
  2. The Hotel shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or other harm to deposited items in the following cases:
    • Loss or damage to items listed in the following paragraph (“Items Not Accepted for Deposit”)
    • Cases caused by force majeure, such as natural disasters or other extraordinary events
    • Cases where items in the Hotel's custody are seized by relevant government authorities or requested to be submitted as evidence pursuant to judicial authority or other official authority
    • Loss or damage caused by the unlawful acts of a third party
    • Other cases not attributable to the Hotel
  3. The Hotel cannot accept the following items for deposit at the front desk (“Items Not Accepted for Deposit”):
    • Cash and valuables (including securities, precious metals, important documents, blueprints, and any items considered valuable by the depositor)
    • Human remains
    • Animals
    • Volatile substances, explosives, or other hazardous materials
    • Firearms, swords, or other items that may be used for criminal purposes
    • Items that emit odors or are likely to decay or deteriorate
    • Unsanitary items or items that may soil or damage the storage area
    • Items whose possession or carrying is prohibited by law
    • Other items deemed unsuitable for storage

[Cash and Other Valuables]

Article 15

Guests are encouraged to use the in-room safe to store cash and other valuables. Use of the safe is at the guest's own risk and responsibility. The Hotel shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or other harm resulting from the use of the safe.

[Use of Computer Communication Services]

Article 16

  1. Users shall use computer communication services within the Hotel at their own responsibility. The Hotel shall not be liable for any damages incurred by users as a result of service interruptions caused by system failures or other reasons during use.
  2. If the Hotel determines that a user's conduct while using computer communication services is inappropriate and may cause damage to the Hotel or any third party, or if such damage occurs, the user shall compensate the Hotel for the amount equivalent to the damage incurred.

[Amendments to These Terms and Conditions]

Article 17

The Hotel may amend these Terms and Conditions without prior notice in cases where matters not specified herein arise or when the Hotel determines that such amendments are necessary for the conduct of its business.

House Rules

At Kawaguchiko Fujisantei - Crab and Wagyu Beef (hereinafter referred to as “the Hotel”), we have established the following House Rules to ensure that all guests can enjoy a safe and comfortable stay. We kindly ask for your cooperation in complying with these rules. Please be advised that failure to comply with these rules may result in the denial of access to the Hotel’s facilities.

1. Scope of Application

  1. These House Rules apply to all guests and visitors using the Hotel’s facilities, including guest rooms, the lobby, the premises, and all other areas of the Hotel (hereinafter collectively referred to as “the Hotel Facilities”). Matters not specified in these House Rules shall be governed by the Terms and Conditions of Stay.

2. Fire Prevention and Safety Matters

  1. Smoking is prohibited throughout the Hotel. Guests who wish to smoke must use the designated outdoor smoking area.
  2. Guests are not permitted to enter areas not intended for guest use, such as back-of-house areas, emergency stairwells, and mechanical rooms.

3. Handling of Items Entrusted to the Hotel and Lost Property

  1. Lost property and items found on the Hotel premises will be handled in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, including the Lost and Found Act.

4. Information Regarding Facilities Within the Hotel

  1. Internet Use
    • Guests may use the Hotel’s internet service freely; however, access to content that violates public order or morals is prohibited.
    • Wireless LAN service is provided as part of the Hotel’s services; however, the Hotel does not guarantee 100% availability of the internet connection.
    • Please note that connection speeds may be reduced or connections may become unavailable depending on your device settings or network congestion.
    • The Hotel is unable to provide support regarding the settings of guests’ computers or other communication devices.
    • Guests are responsible for protecting and managing the security of the devices they use to connect to the network.
  2. Facility Operating Hours
    • Front Desk: 7:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
    • Bathhouse: 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 a.m.

5. Rules of Conduct

  1. Guests using the Hotel are required to follow the instructions of the Hotel staff at all times. Guests who fail to comply may be asked to leave the premises.
  2. Only guests who have entered into an accommodation agreement with the Hotel are permitted to enter or exit the Hotel premises.
  3. Smoking is prohibited throughout the Hotel. Guests who wish to smoke must use the designated outdoor smoking area.
  4. Guests must dispose of any waste generated within the Hotel according to the Hotel’s waste separation guidelines.
  5. Guests who have consumed alcohol on the premises are not permitted to operate vehicles, including cars or bicycles.
  6. Guests are not permitted to bring hazardous materials or items prohibited by law into the Hotel.
  7. Although the Hotel does not have a curfew or lights-out time, guests are requested to act with consideration so as not to disturb other guests or nearby residents.

6. Liability

  1. The Hotel assumes no liability whatsoever for any disputes that arise between guests using the Hotel. Such matters must be resolved directly between the parties concerned.

7. Other Prohibited Acts

  1. Gambling or any conduct that disrupts public order or morals within the Hotel’s facilities.
  2. Shouting, loud singing, or any other noisy behavior that may cause inconvenience to other guests within the Hotel’s facilities.
  3. Being in a state of significant personal or clothing uncleanliness that may cause inconvenience or discomfort to other guests.
  4. Using guest rooms for purposes other than accommodation or dining without the Hotel’s permission.
  5. Bringing items into the Hotel’s facilities that may cause inconvenience to other guests.
    1. Animals such as dogs, cats, and birds, or any other pets (excluding guide dogs and assistance dogs).
    2. Explosive or highly flammable materials such as gunpowder and volatile oils, hazardous products, items emitting unpleasant odors, and other items whose possession is prohibited by law.
  6. Any act that alters the condition of the Hotel’s facilities, equipment, or property, including damaging them, attaching foreign objects, moving them to other locations without the Hotel’s permission, or removing them from the Hotel premises.
  7. Distributing or displaying advertisements or promotional materials, selling goods, soliciting, conducting business activities, distributing flyers, or carrying out signature campaigns within the Hotel’s facilities without permission.
  8. Publishing photographs or other images taken within the Hotel for commercial purposes without the Hotel’s permission.
  9. Any other conduct deemed inappropriate by the Hotel.

8. Information

  1. The use of the Hotel’s trade name, “Kawaguchiko Fujisantei - Crab and Wagyu Beef,” by any third party other than the Hotel is prohibited.
  2. The Hotel is classified as a “simple lodging facility” (hostel) and operates under a license for hotel business operations.
  3. Personal information provided by guests when registering for use of the Hotel is protected in accordance with applicable personal information protection laws. The Hotel will not disclose, transfer, or sell such information to any third party, except in the following cases:
    1. When the guest has provided prior consent for such disclosure.
    2. When disclosure is required by law or requested by a competent government authority.
  4. The Hotel may use the email address provided by guests when using the Hotel to send advertisements, promotional information, or notices at the Hotel’s discretion.
  5. All photographs, text, and designs published on this website are the property of the Hotel. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
  6. The contents of these House Rules may be changed without prior notice, and the Hotel is not obligated to provide advance notice of such changes.

9. Regarding Staff Patrols Within the Hotel

  1. Please be advised that male staff members may perform cleaning and patrol duties on guest floors. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Supplementary Provision: These House Rules shall take effect on June 1, 2026.
